'' What makes us somebody ?'' AUDIO EXCHANGE: We want to be significant. To be somebody in the world.But how far are we willing to go to achieve all that?What makes me somebody ? In the search for significance, many young people base their worth on how others- their family , friends, loved ones- view them. In a world filled with rich , beautiful movie stars, skin whitening products and get rich quick schemes, they strive to make themselves significant. They succumb to the pressures around them to conform, and fall into the trap of materialism, drug addictions, and depression.But we are only human . So what happens when we make mistakes? When we discover that we are far from perfect... When no one's watching and the thick make-up comes off... When the big cars breakdown and die, what's left is our plain selves.Who we really are. The REAL us. Would we still be somebody?Audio Exchange is a new band make up of young christians who have each asked themselves that very same question. Each of them have been through their own journey of self -discovery. With their brand new concert,"What makes us somebody?" they aim to entertain with a blend of popular English and Thai songs, dramas, games,and ultimately hare how thier relationship with Jesus Christ brought them true signifance.In sharing thier lives with the audience , Audio Exchange challenges them to consider theirown struggle with self - worth, and take steps toward self acceptance.I'm beautiful. I'm slim. I drive a big car. Does that make me somebody?We want to be significant. To be somebody in the world. Sometimes we want it so bad that we are willing to be someone else.We all like looking good , having expensive stuff and having loads of money. No matter how hard we try, there will always be someone better looking than us. Someone with better stuffs. Someone with more money. But behind branded goods, layers of make-up and money are we who we really are? And how far are we willing to gog to show the world that we are SOMEBODY?Are we defined by how we look ?
